Moon Sweepers Map Guide: Waypoints and Fast Travel

How the Moon Sweepers map works in 1.0.4: right-click waypoints, focus and teleport, live robot activity, the Teleport Panel and Night Vision Goggles.

Moon Sweepers 1.0.4 improved the Moon map. Right-click opens map actions for waypoints, focus, and teleport, every robot now shows up with its current activity, and a separate Teleport Panel lets you jump between stations you've already discovered. The same patch added Night Vision Goggles as a $350 suit upgrade.

All of this comes from the developer's 1.0.4 patch announcement. It describes map actions and station travel, but does not specify a map-opening key, teleport cost or cooldown.

What right-clicking the Moon map does

The 1.0.4 map supports three right-click actions:

  • Waypoints — mark a point on the map.
  • Focus — use the map's focus action. The announcement does not describe its exact targeting behavior.
  • Teleport — travel via the map's teleport function. The patch does not specify a price, range, cooldown, or unlock rule, so treat teleport as a map action rather than unlimited travel to any coordinate.

The patch notes don't describe how to open the map or how to remove a waypoint. Use whatever in-game control your version shows.

Robot tracking on the map

Every robot now appears on the Moon map along with its current activity, so you can check what each unit is doing without visiting it. Each robot type can also be hidden or shown separately to cut clutter. This pairs with the J.O.O.N.A.S. sector tracking added in the same update; see the J.O.O.N.A.S. overview for how the cleaner works.

The Teleport Panel and station travel

The new Teleport Panel lists stations you've already discovered and lets you teleport between them. It is a station-to-station travel tool, not a directory of every location on the Moon. The patch doesn't state a travel cost or cooldown.

The 1.0.4 notes also announce a fix for players falling through the Moon after station teleports. That is the developer's stated change; it does not establish that every travel issue is resolved.

Night Vision Goggles and the helmet lamp

Night Vision Goggles are a $350 suit upgrade, and the N key steps through helmet lamp → goggles → off. With goggles on, nights look like daytime without shadows, and the goggles are visible on your astronaut.

In 1.0.4 the helmet lamp upgrades were relocated to the supply wall, so look there rather than where they were before. For the collection and delivery loop that funds upgrades, see the beginner guide.

Version note

This guide was checked against the official Steam announcements up to the 1.0.5 patch (October 28, 2026). The 1.0.5 notes do not describe changes to the right-click map actions or the Teleport Panel. They do list two related fixes: one stops a crewmate's teleport to another station from throwing the player standing under them off the map, and the other stops the map from showing 0% for sectors that have not been measured yet. Check the official announcements for anything newer.
