Moon Sweepers Vehicles: Garages and Demolition in 1.0.3
How Moon Sweepers vehicles work across garages after patch 1.0.3: any garage can retrieve, store and upgrade them, and demolishing one keeps your vehicles.
In Moon Sweepers, vehicles you already own are no longer tied to one garage. As of patch 1.0.3, any garage can call back, store, and upgrade them, and demolishing a garage no longer destroys the vehicles kept there. The official Moon Sweepers 1.0.3 patch announcement documents these garage rules.
Any garage works for vehicles you own
Since 1.0.3, any garage can retrieve vehicles you own, store them and upgrade them. The notes describe access across garages, rather than keeping each vehicle tied to its original garage.
The same announcement says a vehicle already owned will no longer be offered again.
Demolishing a garage keeps your vehicles
Taking a garage down does not wipe out the vehicles kept inside it. Those vehicles move to another garage if you have one, or they wait until you build your next garage.
This is the developer's documented handling of stored vehicles, rather than a guarantee against every possible save or vehicle bug.
Garage access and crew ownership
The announcement covers where vehicles are kept and how garages handle them. It does not establish whether all vehicles belong to the whole crew or define every player's garage permissions. Access through any garage is not evidence of a crew-wide ownership pool.
The same patch also made upgrades shared across the crew, with the host's upgrade matrix applying to everyone. That is a separate system from vehicle ownership and storage. For more on that, see how shared upgrades work.
Version note
These garage rules were introduced in 1.0.3. That announcement also required matching 1.0.3 clients at the time; it is not a current instruction to downgrade to 1.0.3. Check the official announcements for later changes. For the broader collection and equipment loop, start with the beginner guide.
1.0.5 note
The 1.0.5 patch (October 28, 2026) does not describe changes to the garage rules above. It adds a status message: a garage whose silo is not sending dust out now displays the reason, such as a missing conveyor belt on its outfeed. It also adds a Settings > Controls option named "Vehicle camera follows behind"; switching it off leaves the camera pointed where you last turned it.
